Steven David Pinto
September 19, 1984 – May 11, 2025
Steven David Pinto lived a life defined by courage, compassion, and connection. Born and raised in Northern California, Steven was known for his enormous heart and unwavering sense of duty. He served his country honorably as a United States Marine, embodying the core values of honor, courage, and commitment. Steven completed two tours of duty in Fallujah, Iraq, and carried the weight of that experience with him for the rest of his life.
After his time in uniform, Steven remained fiercely dedicated to his fellow veterans. He worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs and became a passionate advocate for mental health, as well as a relentless fighter in the battle to end veteran suicide. His mission was personal, his voice was powerful, and his actions made a lasting difference in the lives of many.
Steven was one of a kind, especially in the way he connected with people. He had a gift for making friends wherever he went — a warm smile, a caring gesture, and a genuine interest in those around him. He maintained many lifelong friendships, a testament to the loyalty, kindness, and authenticity he brought to every relationship. He could walk into a room full of strangers and leave with a room full of friends. He was the kind of person who made you feel seen, heard, and truly valued.
Though he left us far too soon at the age of 40, Steven leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and perseverance. His life reminds us of the power of service, the importance of community, and the enduring impact one person can have when they live with heart.
To honor Steven’s life and legacy, his family encourages donations to the Warrior PATHH program, which had a tremendously positive impact on his life.
